Hard Head
So tonight Matt is working and I was talking to Catch telling him I was worried about Kate pretending to be a ballerina spinning around because I was worried she would bust her head open. His response to me..."Mommy, her head is too hard to bust open! All you will have to do is hug her." Ha. Made me smile because sometimes she is a little hard headed. I try to say she is confident and knows what she wants and that will be an advantage to her when she grows up.
So here they are. I am hoping Spiderman will save my ballerina from really busting her head wide open. Aren't they cute though!!!

Feeding the Ducks
So yesterday Catch, Kate and I went out to Wesleyan College to feed the ducks. I so wish I had had my camera with me. Such a fun time together. Catch got to taste honeysuckles for the first time. He loved that. It always amazes me that he will venture out to try something like that, yet will not even think about trying a new food I have put on his plate. And oddly enough, Kate, who will try anything I put on her plate, would not even think about putting the honeysuckle in her mouth. She just looked at us both like we had lost our minds.
The part where I wished I had my camera was when we made it to the pond and got out the bread. I handed Catch a piece to feed to the ducks and I handed Kate a piece to hand to the ducks. Catch did the normal tearing his into pieces and giving it to the ducks. Well, I looked back at Kate and she has climbed up on this bench overlooking the pond and had both her cute chubby hands wrapped around her bread eating it herself. I died laughing, then tears welled up in my eyes at the simple joys kids have. I wish I could capture moments like that and imprint them in head forever. I love the differences in my children and getting to know them each day. So I am selfishly writing this post in hopes that since I did not have my camera, this post will bring back the image to memory.
